It's safe to say that this book has more of my heart than any of my other books. It took four years to write. No, it took forty-eight years to write. It's not a journey from one place to another, as my other books are. It's a meander through what it means to be a mother, a wife, a friend, a daughter--a woman.
It's a glimpse into the most painful and most joyful times of my life and how my Savior helped me through all of it. (And even laugh about it.)
However, it's not just about me. It's about you. It's about the relationships, tears, laughter, body image, menopause, expectations, and more. It's about what it is to be a woman, and how learning to lean on Jesus can make it richer.
PS- The gold-embossed hardcover is dreamy. Just saying :)
No books, blogs, or studies can prepare you for the complexities of womanhood. The joys and challenges that come with being a woman can often feel like a roller coaster of highs and lows, especially when sweet moments are tempered by feelings of inadequacy. If your journey through life too often feels like an unforgiving magnification of your weaknesses and shortcomings or you find yourself feeling alone, it is time to turn to the healing balm of the Savior's love.
