"Michelle Wilson’s humorous yet poignant insights help women examine the limitations we place on ourselves out of insecurity and self-doubt. We have faith in God, but do we know that He has faith in us?
When we see ourselves with God’s eternal perspective, we can feel confident and whole—even in our imperfection. Just think what we might accomplish if we truly believe that we are more important than we know, stronger than we realize, and extraordinary in every way." *Contains Latter-day Saints undertones Note: This is not a diet book. It's about the way we see our whole selves, our lives, our trials, God, and everything in between. Many cookies were consumed in the writing of this book. Many. So many.

This book was the hardest book I've written thus far. I think because it's so personal. This is my story--the story of how I was a confident kid then it all changed.
My teenage years were tough. Externally all was well, but internally I struggled with deep insecurity and crippling self-doubt. They corroded my ability to see myself clearly. I cared too much about what others thought. I compared myself to them. And I was unkind to myself. The way I saw myself steered my life in a direction I hadn't expected, and felt ashamed of for a long time. In fact, I never shared certain parts of it until this book. Though this book is very personal, it's not a downer. It might actually make you laugh in some places. But hopefully, most of all, as you read about my journey to seeing myself, trials, and life through God's eyes, you might see yourself a little different too. Hopefully you'll realize you're stronger, more capable, and more extraordinary than you'd ever realized. |
